Now that

Dame Chocolate has finshed there was a risk that my afternoons would become productive once again... that was of course until they started this new telenovela... Las tontas no van al cielo... The english synopsis of the storyline is here (if you are really that interested...) Well for me it's quite amusing although I can't stand the theme song... Even Fredu tolerates it as he thinks the guy who plays Candy's uncle is a great actor. Thank you Mexico for producing some light entertainment! I wonder if I will pick up a mexican accent now??? Just kidding. I have to ask my single Mexican reader whom my tracking tells me lives in Querétaro do you too watch this show?

Los protaganistas!

There is another soap that follows the one I mentioned above and it's called 'Pura Sangre' which for you non Spanish readers, means 'Pure Blood' it takes place in the mountains in Venuzuela and it is much more dramatic and sinestre... It's described as...

'This story is a turbulent river of passions, hatred, and vengeance... where love, in its most sublime form, struggles to keep from drowning in its waters.'

Riveting indeed... however by that time I'm usually ready for a nap... ah the life!

The grey weather continues

But so does the productivity that we have been experiencing... We were (begrudginly) up and out of the house by 9h this morning as we had an apt with the pediatrician... We braved a quick coffee on the terrace while conjuring up memories of sunnier (and much warmer) days that we've spent in that same spot... it's funny how winter has decided to arrive when it's really time for spring to be doing those sorts of things...

We ended up collecting poochie and going for a walk down the beach so some furrier members of the family could burn off some steam...

handsome beach combers!

By the time we returned home at 15h some of us (meaning most of us) collapsed into pile on the sofa and had a long winter's nap...

We're off to the twin's 6th birthday party tomorrow. I hope the weather perks up a bit... but if it doesn't that's okay too as we bought the boys kites and of course a bit of wind is always good for flying them.

To market to market...

This morning was unusally productive... we were washed and out of the house by 11... bought b'day presents for Wendy and Roy's twins... made a doggie apt for miss Lilli (for next monday) she's getting the full service wash as well as ear cleaning and anal glands drainging (eww)... Then off to the Boqueria to get out weekly stock of fruit and veg... then back home to drop it all off, then back out again to get across town the the matrona... All this and then back home by 15h! This I tell you, is about as much as one usually gets done in a week, never mind a morning...
Auntie Ana and Uncle Luca are coming over for supper tonight and of course for a squooge with the baby... I hope she's feeling better by then as she's been quite under the weather for the past few days.

If only I weren't on maternity leave... I would have bought the pair of these two beauties and brought them home. Lilli on the other hand... would have probably not been so keen on the idea...

Stocked!!!

Feeling a bit under the weather..

I am so pleased that I managed to finally catch up with the lovely Siobhan. She's all set up on her new farm where she is stabling horses. She's got a new gf named Meg who has a chihuaha too... It's kind of funny... This makes 3 from the old Ottawa crewwho now have the wee mongrels in our lives. I wonder if Danielle ever got one as if I remember correctly she was the one who always went on about having one?? Speaking of Ottawa crew miss Kim is on the move again from Yellowknife and now if I am not mistaken living in Cambridge Bay... talk about the great white north! Amazing really as the old Ottawa crew is now scattered around the world! NYC, Spain, France... Northern Canada. Who would have thought?

New ideas (or not yet realised old ones) have been churning around lately and we're possibly going to embark on a new business venture. Early days yet but there are a lot of things falling into place so best roll with the flow!

Yum!!!
